Beach season was officially opened on Sunday, even though the crisp mountain waters of the Isar, whilest refreshing to adults, were still met with great suspicion by Karl. He preferred to inspect the condition of the pebbles, who made it through the winter in perfect skipping condition. Note the steel structure in the back - this is Karl's favorite beach along the river Isar, because not only is there Ms. Fingerle's kiosque just up the slope, where the latest styles in ice cream fashion can be purchased, but you can skip stones and watch passing trains on the bridge at the same time.
Henri was not so impressed. Actually, he kept his hibernating gear for now, protecting his delicate self from the sudden gusts of spring winds.

Despite his wintery and sullen look he did multiply the thrill of spending an afternoon by the river with Fred and Karl though (my favorite thrill of all times ever).
Pebble Beach, we call that. Over here on Van Brunt street the big news is the former "Tini's" turned short-lived art gallery is now an open and active Uncle Louie G's ices. So get those boys over here for some ice creams courtesy of their uncle Ritz.
