Fred and the boys are off to Omi's and Opa's for the long weekend. Right on time for Halloween. Be scared mighty state of Hesse, be very scared! (c'mon, you could be a little scared)

Apple Picking Time
Yes, this is how we roll now - it was apple picking time. And despite my clumsy attempts as an amateur arborist to trim the trees last year our apple tree was rather forgiving, carrying quite the loot.
The apples are quite savory giving off the sweet aroma of autumn. There was a full box of grade A whole foods quality and another even bigger box hosting a lively bunch of worms that will be turned into apple sauce and pies.
And then there's the fabulous autumn dusk basking the whole city in a golden red shimmer which can be observed from Fred's office in late afternoon.

On Recovery Road
Few things scream "pity" at you with such ferocious weariness than the 40C/104F fever of a three year old.
Luckily those lows (in general mood and wellbeing) don't last too long.
And before you know it the rascal cleans you out in a few rounds of a two card monty shell game.
Well, hopefully the crew will be back and out and about soon (lakeshore view courtesy of pre-flu weekend at grandpa's).

Garden Guitar Hero
When you get bored doing regular stuff like playing badminton you can take your guitar and help your dad cleaning the fall foliage from the sidewalk.
By singing him a song. A James Bond song by the way.

Oktoberfest
It is that time of the year again, when revellers from all over the world descend upon Munich to savor the finest our culture has to offer, the malted beverages, succulent pork products and fine-tuned two-steps. It was Henri's first Oktoberfest. And he sure liked it.
Being one to appreciate a classic he definitely put the fun back into fun house.

And while his brother chose to venture out into space, he put his bet on law and order. They both wanna go again tomorrow. Might be next year though.
