Sometimes I feel a little bad. When Karl was Henri's age, I took him to extended daily walks along the river or through the park, where he would breath nothing but fresh Bavarian air and hear nothing but birds chirping and dogs barking. It's very different this time around: Many afternoons revolve around ice cream parlors and/or loud constructions sites. There's plenty of both in town these days. Luckily Henri doesn't seem to mind. And yes, the most time af all we still spend at the local playgrounds.
Please notice how Karl is carefully choosing his ice cream flavors according to his outfits. Yesterday he chose peppermint chocolate matching his green pants, today – as you can see in the first picture – he chose strawberry, matching his cool stripey shirt he got from his friend the Bru.
On a different note: Check out these amazing peonies Andrian got me for our wedding anniversary. Aren't they almost better than the ones we had back then?

Color coordinated ice cream eating! Why did nobody think of this earlier. So he better choses his outfit wisely, if he ever wants to eat a chocolate ice cream again for example.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he'd be happy to dress up as the UPS delivery guy for chocolate ice cream – he would be a PƤckchenlasterfahrer then!
