Saturday! A good time for the ninjafiresupermanheros to hit the town for some serious summer fun.
Like that great show of James Bond set architect Ken Adam, where you could see his original Oscar...
...a whole lotta damn great action clips...
...and some of his models, which impressed Henri enough to give me some serious lifting up Henri workout, since they placed them all in kid-unfriendly heights.
Next stop - lunch. Ok, daddy's choice of dim sum, pho and summer rolls. Medium successful with a bunch of Bavarian carnivores.
Better - a reading and drawing session with children's book illustrator Sophie Schmid, which was organized for Munich's bookstore day. She read from a great book about a rabbit with a serious bout of the hickups. The boys enjoyed the reading, but went for some more adventureous fare when it was time to do some solidarity purchases.
More to their taste - open door day at the central fire department.
With the usual fire truck climb.
Big impressive highlight was a show of the special reptile catcher unit, which had some seriously nasty snapping turtles....
...and a scary big python.
But hey - nothing tops the thrill of visiting the Halloween store in mid-summer. Aiiiigghhhhhh!!!
