Robot Man

Karl is not really keen on taking any kind of classes. He's just not a big fan of authorities, I guess. Which he might have inherited from his parents. There's one exception though: English class at the kindergarten. Today was their presentation. They sang songs, answered questions, counted to twenty. The teacher is actually a lot of fun, but has a bizarre pronounciation (in my book at least – she must be from South Africa) and so has Karl by now.

I'm featuring the famous Robot Man song here.

Henri was very focused watching his brother and made sure I wouldn't loose my shoes.

With daddy gone again at TED Global in Edinburgh, I'm taking the opportunity to finish up our little construction project and to have some color added to the whole thing. Yes, our house is green and yes, that is my future office with the purple carpet in it.

  1. Dreamy house ... i like the mustard carpet as well, and the dark accents of wood and shades. When are you planning to move in???

Re: English classes - is that a special Kindergarten program, or does the average preschooler nowadays get exposed to a second language? It's certainly the right age to pick it up by osmosis, and perhaps you can visit some day with both boys in tow!

  2. We're moving at the end of July. There's no plumbing just yet which can only be finished once the scaffolding is gone. The house is actually on a pretty big street, so it's not exaclty dreamy, but more krachmacherstrassen-style.

The English classes are not a regular thing. Only few Kindergartens do it, but I feel it worked really well! As with everything else: it all depends on a good teacher. Still happy that his new Kindergarten has classes, too.

  3. Dreamy not in the sense of peace and quiet, but in the sense of theresnowhereinhellthiscouldeverhappeninbrooklynwithoutwinningthelottery ;-)

Four more weeks to go ... your life must be pretty crazy these days. Congrats again - after all those months of house hunting, you guys earned every bit of home ownership.
