The day was actually much greater than it looks here. We went out to the Ebersberg Forest, Germany's largest forest not interrupted by any human settlement.
The snow was very wet and heavy, so sledding was more like surfing through molasses. There was still plenty of fun to be had trampling through the woods, despite the fact that none of the wild beasts showed up, young city folk under the age of six expect to be treated to, when venturing out so daringly into the wild.
You can roll through the snow trying to transform yourself into a snowman for example.
You can pose on a sled with dad at least trying to look very sporty (what the heck, we've been to the sledding hills in our neighborhood almost every day in the past three weeks, twice a day on weekends). You can of course also head over to the inn and savor the wonderful juicy pork products of Bavarian cuisine followed by some apples embedded in some sugar-cinnamon coated dough that definitely does not fall into any food groups.
And while you wait you can use the fresh box of crayons to redraw your favorite stories (Stars Wars, Sean the Sheep) on papers.
P.S.: Sorry for the pixelation. Google seems to be saving bandwidth cost by forcing bloggers to use smaller images. We'll be moving the blog elsewhere shortly. In the meantime please click on the image for a nicer resolution.
