Yes there were of course songs and stories and cookies and stuff. Karl and Henri actually thoroughly enjoy the rituals. It took about eight songs for Henri to carefully inquire about the possibility to open presents now.
What fun, when Christkind actually brought the thing you really wanted!
Karl and Henri were quite busy to make presents for us as well. Oh the great educational system of German advancing social skills as well.
For Fred Christkind brought a Karaoke machine, which of course is a perfect modern way to rekindle the family music traditions.
The boys really got into it right away.
Fighting for the mike, pretending to be able to read the lyrics to Pharrell Williams' "Happy"
(Did we mention Lego yet?)
Henri got his guitar out.
The party went on and on and on.
So - Merry Christmas to you all (to be sung in the melodies of Elton John, Supertramp, Neil Diamond, Abba, Petula Clark and "Happy").....
