Right on! We had our annual Oktoberfest outing, this year with a twist - our newspaper office band was playing the Herzkasperlzelt (the nicely nostalgic smaller tent in the nostalgia part of Oktoberfest, which makes a difference like playing Shea Stadium vs. the Roseland). Both Karl and Henri got new lederhosen and matching shirts this year. Karl was proudly wearing his (Henri didn't want to wear his pants, but he sure liked to photobomb his brother).
Playing an Oktoberfest tent is of course great fun, because the audience is sloshed heavily by mid-day, so our late afternoon show got quite an enthusiastic response (yeah, we know, it was the alcohohol applauding). Karl and Henri got to hang out on stage, which they really liked.
They did get to try out their dance moves down on the dance floor during a couple of horn-less tunes. Karl held a bit back on his breakdancing front. Admittedly it was the more Rock part of the show, so Henri's head banging skills were definitely a much better fit. Big fun! I hope we get a recall next year.
