There comes a day in the life of little boys and girls, when all dreams come true and you get to go to Legoland! The boys rooms had to be painted (painted?! Redone! But that will be covered in the next post), so we had to vacate the home premises for an overnighter, while the magic happened at home. So we booked ourselves into one of the Egyptian adventure vacation bungalows at Legoland.
Daddy's room was pretty swag, but the boys room featured Lego magazines and a box of bricks to play with.
So off we went. Safari time! Half of the attractions by the way couldn't be photographed due to way too much action. But the mood was pretty much like this all the time.
I still like the miniature world the best. Munich's represented with her soccer stadium (pictured) and airport only.
Frankfurt got the whole skyline, the riverside and the bohemian quarters of Sachsenhausen.
Whilest Berlin got half of the city in Lego. Since it was German reunification day we of course had to pose in front of the parliament (if you look closely behind Karl's right shoulder you see a miniature Merkel with a miniature Obama getting a parade).
Next up - Lego driving school. Karl passed with flying colors and got a license (which later on he said was his favorite part).
Since the minimum driving age in Legoland is seven Henri and I got to hang out and meet his favorite ninja Kai.
Next up Star Wars land. This was the point of the trip, when Fred (who was of course kept posted via whatsapp images) asked, if their heads are about to explode.
They kinda were and so the first day came to an end.
Of course even on your way to your bungalow there's still adventures to be had at every corner.
Before you go for dinner at the jungle buffet there was of course time for some quality Lego building.
DAY TWO
Started with some artworks back at the jungle buffet, where we also had breakfast.
The weather had changed to sucky.
But there's plenty indoor stuff, like the Lego Academy, where you get to build machines with real motors...
...or the Nintentdo zone, where kids sit on fatboy cushions and literally go into a zone (stale pizza, reefer and dubious job prospects not yet included, even though that young gentleman on the other yellow cushion just behind Karl seems to have all that already nailed).
When I showed Karl Henri's academy diploma though, his ambitions were rekindled.
This by the way was Henri's thesis.
And this was Karl's (Henri was on a roll though and got three diplomas)
Well, this was just a fraction of the things we did. And there could've been plenty more. Yay for Legoland!
And daddy needs an adult beverage now.
F*cking unbelievable day. And everyone is so CUTE! Good work, daddy!
