Italian Vacation Pt. 1

So here we go. Braggy vacation pics. Yes, we did go to the beach.

Sure it was a bit chilly. But we enjoyed the wonderful Adriatic light making our kids look beautiful. And it was - a beach (not shown - trashy hotels and restaurants that give you heartburn just by their decor, which explained to us why the Adriatic coast has such a bad name).

We also had a house. Which was nice and sprawling and not quite kid-safe for Henri. But since he's at the way "too fast, too furious"-age the only kid-safe place to have a vacation with Henri right now is a padded cell. Which we actually booked for the summer. Including sound-proofing for undisturbed sleep of legal guardians.

The house also had a garden, which again reinforced our bourgeois dreams of a more suburban lifestyle (how do you spell cul-de-sac?) and steeled our will to endure more humiliating weekends stalking the real estate market. Ah - did we mention incredible country cooking trattorias, gorgeous Unesco-rated Renaissance cities, mountain rivers and Europe's largest stalactite cave? More bragging to come!
