Summer arrived in full force now, so over the weekend we got back into the Munich summer groove and did all the things you have to do during a Munich city summer. Visit Frau Fingerle at her kiosque down on the riverbank for example and have franks and ice cream for lunch. And tell lengthy pirate stories that turn the fountain the old cemetary park into a Caribean pirate bay. Go down to the yard and help master gardener Klaus with the planting of new flowers and things.
Have lots of different "Schorles" (meaning mixing your chilled juices with ice-cold soda, which is the main form of soda pops around here. Not sure what the fashionable Schorle of the year will be, but we toasted the new summer season with a few tall rhubarb schorles). If it was up to me I would go Mediterranean, take off until late September and just spend my time doing all of the above.
Of course there were numerous playgrounds visited inbetween. A planned water wading shot was unfortunately ruined by heavy storm clouds assembling on the horizon, prompting a hasty walk home. False alarm it turned out, nonetheless one major summer activity postponed.

P.S.: We also shot a brief video that kinda sums up the vibe around here. Especially the last part.
