Single Child

This morning we had a very welcome surprise visit by the Schoeller family from New York. Since we still miss all our friends so much we're always thrilled when somebody stops by. And it makes us appreciate our comfortable family life here even more when they tell us about life with kids in New York.



They came just in time: in the afternoon Karl and Andrian left town and drove up North to the house of Omi and Opa Michael in Bensheim where Karl will be spending the week. Andrian is once again hanging out with the superbrains of the world here and there (I know, there's nothing to see just yet – it's probably top secret stuff). This means that it's really quiet around here and even though Henri seems to have enjoyed the afternoon with his mother all for himself, I'm pretty sure tomorrow morning he'll start wondering what's going on and then will miss his brother. And yes, his father, too (just not as much).
