Summerfest

Today was summerfest at Karl's Kindergarten. They turned the whole backyard into an amusement park. And they had a show. A percussion and dance show. Each group (there are five groups about of 24, 25 kids each) had been assigned a country. Karl's group got to do Africa. Karl was proud to be in the drummers' circle with his buddies Ludwig (the one with the Ferrari hat) and Eminette (the on with the flowery dress).

Henri was also very excited. Especially about the cake buffet and the huge grill where you could get sausages all day. Which we did. At least for Henri.

After the show the kids got a "game pass" that led them through a circle of games around the yard. Like shooting at various targets with a big water gun. Which dragged on a bit longer than required.

For every finished game the kids got a stamp in their pass. If they filled the pass they got to pick a present. Karl picked soap bubbles. Good choice for the end of a lovely day (phantastic five hours of non-stop screams, laughter, wails and giggles mixed with high-speed chases of a very adventurous boy not quite in charge of his motor skills and massive plates of grilled pork products and skillful cakes).
