Easter in the UK

It was vacation time in the Greatness of Britain!

And we sure did about everything you gotta do when you want to paint that town red.

The city didn't disappoint in providing classics.

We even visited the Queen.

Although she was a no-show despite our thorough observations.

Like having meals in restaurants of old hipster pedigree...

..or brand new.

And hitting a few museums (joined by aunt Carolin).

It sure is a big city (where's Henri?!).

Number one on the long list of big funs - riding the bus on the upper deck.

Number two - riding a boat along the river Thames.

After the city it was time to head for the country to meet up with the rest of the family.

For an easter egg hunt on the grounds of some Downton Abbyesque estate for example.

Which was quite a challenge actually.

Luckily the boys had experienced cousin Thora with them, veteran of many an easter egg hunt .

Next up - lambing day.

Shaun the Sheep knowledge came in handy.

For some serious cute overload.

And some hands-on lambing

Can you spot the similarities?

And it wouldn't be an authentic Great Britain experience without a hike in well-needed wellies.

If you're missing one of the cousins in the pictures, you're right. Poor Tom got hit by a nasty flu when we got there, so he missed out most of the fun.

Like playgrounds...

...outdoor tea time courtesy of uncle Ivo...

...in swingin' Southampton...

...there were wind-swept group shots...

...and even more easter egg hunting...

...strategizing how to go about finding more sweet loot...

...and how to divide it...

...hanging out in the great outdoors.

Tom did get some serious playtime out of our stay though.

Until it was time to head home. We miss you already, Great Britain part of our family! See you very soon.
