The Firemen 2

In the life of young boys there's few things greater than open house at the fire department.

Especially when it's out in the boonies, i.e. Seeshaupt (Opa Paul's home), where the fire crew has had quite a run with the free beer and really doesn't care who climbs their two shiny trucks.

So there they were, no uniformed supervision, no competition from other boys, two fully decked out trucks all for their own.

Oh the fun to be had.

They even brought out the old tractor with the pump wagon they used in the 30s and 40s.

And hey, who doesn't like fire trucks! You don't have to be a 2 or 4 year old to appreciate the magic of a bright red piece of technological marvel.

Afterwards it was off to the adventure playground.

Karl's gotten quite fearless on the cablecar.

And of course Henri has to try everything his big brother does, even if he prefers to do it with a bit of help from mom. And in the end - Henri kept on truckin'.
